The
Monastery
Gaia's Edinburgh Office is
situated in a former Monastery, which until 30 years ago was
home to Huguenot refugee monks, who operated a dairy that
sold produce from its Forth Street frontage. It was then converted
into a recording studio for the Corries, and is reputed to
be the birthplace of the song "Flower of Scotland".
The basement remains a recording studio and the upper floors
were converted for Gaia's offices in 1998.
