Plash
Mill Cottage
The
Lade Braes, St. Andrews
This
is a listed building which was converted from a derelict
condition into a family house in 1996. The C19 miller
cottage was completely renovated and attic bedrooms & a
bathroom were formed for the children. The dining / sitting
room has a large south-facing opening leading out to
the sheltered garden surrounded by mature trees and the
town lade.
The C17 mill was gutted and the gable rebuilt where the stonework
was unstable. A master bedroom with adjacent family bathroom
and a double height study were created.
