Dalguise, Perthshire
Kirk
Park is an example of an affordable rural house built
for a local family with the assistance of a Rural Home
Ownership Grant from Communities Scotland.

connections.
The construction comprises a suspended timber ground floor
with 150mm insulation, a 145mm timber frame wall & a combed
ceiling of 195mm rafters with cellulose insulation. The walls
have a vapour permeable sheathing with horizontal weatherboard
cladding on vertical battens. The roof is finished with new

provide hot water & central heating. There is also a centrally
located wood-burning stove. Running costs for the heating & electricity
are less than £10 per week.
