Fowlis Wester

Glenview is situated in a conservation area in the historic village of Fowlis Wester.

The cottage was renovated and the derelict stone barn restored and converted for a client who works for the Royal Commission of Historic Monuments in Scotland.

The barn was converted into a Sitting Room linked to the original cottage by a Sun Lounge serving as a dining room. The stonework to the barn was stabilised and partly rebuilt using hydraulic lime mortar.
The development was unified by the use of reclaimed Cumberland slates on the roof and Western Red Cedar cladding to the Entrance Porch and Sun Lounge extension.
