nearby the site of the former Balgowan House this idiosyncratic
design is a modern interpretation of the vernacular incorporating
reclaimed materials, stone wall facings, Scotch slate & pitch pine flooring
along with modern materials, plate glass & copper
cladding.
This is a highly insulated timber frame building with a variety
of wall finishes stone harlijng & timber cladding. Extensive
areas of south facing glazing utilises the passive solar gain.
The open plan living area is heated by a 2m high ceramic stove.
